Help! Put detergent in the wrong place in my GE top Loader- ge washer where to put detergent in toilet ,I was hoping someone would have some advice to share. I have owned the GE HE top Loader with smart dispense for 2 weeks. You just put the detergent in with the clothes. There is a spot for softener in the middle and a spot for bleach. I was hoping for a washer with a detergent dispenser but am still very happy with this washer even though it doesnt have one. It gets our clothes much cleaner than my old washer with less detergent.
Add the manufacturer’s recommended amount of granular or powder detergent to the top of the load once all of the clothes are loaded into the wash basket. Note: Pour detergent into your washer according to the instructions on the detergent package and information from the Owner's Manual.
Hi Kel - You can add detergent and detergent pods to the washer before adding clothes. You can dissolve liquid/power detergent in hot water before pouring it into the wash basket if desired. Also, the washer will fill with water with the lid up if you manually choose the load size- Small, Medium, Large, Super. Keep in touch.
